Much of the research into diabetes and its management (including using tech) still suffers from the trope of being based on “white guys”. For some years now there have been efforts to make the research populations more diverse, but there is still an imbalance that ignores that facts that women are exposed to different hormone changes than men. And this has been shown to have significant impact on T1 diabetes management.
