Next week I’m lucky enough to be heading off to San Diego to attend the American Diabetes Association’s annual conference: the ADA Scientific Sessions. I’m attending as part of the #dedoc˚ voices program, as one of 12 diabetes advocates from around the globe who together will be trying to represent people who live with diabetes at this conference that’s traditionally been reserved for healthcare professionals and “industry”. We’re not just “patients” in a clinic: we’re people who can engage them in conversations.
There will be lots of activity over on Twitter and some other platforms during the conference, and there will of course be some flow on to the blog.
As well as the ADA event, we’re also attending some other things such as the D-Data ExChange Summer event. It’s going to be a hectic week!
